Travel Day ...

... through the endless plains of the Serengeti to the Ngorongoro Crater. Plenty to see along the way!

The dust had settled a bit, thanks to some rain. We kept on bump, bump, bumping along in the truck, searching for wildlife as we drove along. Our destination, a permanent tent camp just out outside the Ngorongoro Crater. In the meantime...

Golden Jackel snags a Bustard. That's the closest thing we came to seeing a bird carcass today (Happy Thanksgiving!)

The elusive Leopard, taking a cat nap

Smaller animals are exciting to see, too ...

Black Faced Wax Bill

Leopard Tortoise

Tree Hyrax

Agama Lizard

Helmeted Guinea Fowl

Dwarf Mongoose

Yellow Throated Sand Grouse

That's my lion face
