We left the Siana Springs camp by 7am yesterday. It was a long, bumpy, dusty drive back to Nairobi. We checked back into the Heron Portico Hotel by 2pm. It was familiar... like coming home. We enjoyed drinks in the outdoor coffee shop / bar with our tour mates. (Dale and Sarah would not be continuing with us to Tanzania.) After that, we had showers and did laundry in our room. Refreshed, and chores finished, we headed out to dinner with KJ and June. Destination: Carnivore Restaurant. It did not disappoint! We were in a meat coma by the time we left. Chicken wings, sausage, pork ribs, leg of lamb, roast beef, chicken breast, crocodile, ostrich... with accompanying sauces... all you can eat. It was quite a production! The lamb with mint sauce was my favorite.
