Lake Naivasha - Crescent Camp

A full day! Late morning boat ride on Lake Naivasha, the main event ... HIPPOS! Plus, lots of birds, including a Great Cormorant rookery and Fish Eagles. Then, a three-course lunch (we skipped the 4th one, dessert) and an afternoon hike through Hell's Gate, whose landscape features were inspiration for scenes in The Lion King movie. There, we saw a Rüppell's Griffin Vulture rookery, hiked through a narrow gorge, and saw geo-thermal features (hot springs), as well as zebras African Cape Buffaloes, warthogs, variety of antelopes, Rock Hyrax, and more birds.
