Mid-day, we visited with brother-in-law Scott in his Boulder condo, then went out for an Italian lunch at II Pastaio Ristorante, a neighborhood restaurant with a nice family-style vibe. The house-made pasta was delicious, but I especially enjoyed the freshly-made gazpacho.
After lunch, we made our way to Noah and Susanna's house. They were both working, so we caught up on a few computer chores. I checked email and paid bills while Rouse participated in a Carolina Backyard Naturalist zoom class. Then he put in some more time on house repairs while I made a couple of phone calls ... one to my dad to wish him 'happy birthday' and one to Abigail to say 'hi' and talk about her coming to help and visit with me post hip-replacement surgery at the end of the month. I worked on my knitting project until Rouse got to a good stopping point on his project. The sun was setting as we made our way back to the camp site.
