Coinciding with the retirement of Rouse the Spouse in 2018, we purchased a Little Guy Max teardrop pull-behind travel trailer. We've taken it out on some close-to-home adventures ... a couple times at Jordan Lake State Recreation Area (NC), a nice weekend at Grayson Highlands State Park (VA), and just last month, we traveled with our son and his family to Deep Creek Campground in the Great Smokey Mountains National Park. It's time to head further afield!
We really had intended to travel more extensively in this little RV, but international adventures called (see previous posts). Most recently, in early 2020 we enjoyed a wonderful bird-watching trip to Tobago... just as COVID-19 was entering the public consciousness. Then, our exotic trip to Morocco, scheduled for April, was cancelled. Life as we knew it was shut down due to a world-wide pandemic, with no cure and no vaccine in sight, and certainly NO international travel.
But life goes on, and as strange as these times may be, we are learning to live with the pandemic. Seems like the perfect time to travel in an RV ... towing your own personal home while maintaining social distance from others. (And don't forget to wash your hands and wear your mask!)
We are in the process of packing and preparing for our first "cross-country" trip with the Little Guy. Destination ... Colorado! Come along for the ride :-)
